Apple Dump Cake Ingredients
- 2 cans apple pie filling 21 oz each
- 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter melted (1.5 sticks)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon optional
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg optional
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans, optional
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
Open the cans of apple pie filling and spread them evenly across the bottom of your prepared baking dish. If using cinnamon and nutmeg, sprinkle them over the apple layer.
Evenly distribute the dry cake mix powder over the apple pie filling. Don't mix it in – just create an even layer covering all of the apples.
