  • 1/4 cup cucumber slices
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup grapes or berries

Extras

  • 1/4 cup pretzels or crackers
  • 2 tablespoons hummus optional
  • 1 small container of yogurt optional

Instructions
 

  • Slice your mini bagel in half horizontally. If using a regular-sized bagel, consider cutting it into quarters for easier handling, especially for younger children.
  • Place 2-3 tablespoons of cream cheese in a small container with a tight-fitting lid. This allows your child to spread the cream cheese fresh at lunchtime, preventing any sogginess.
  • Wash and slice the cucumber into thin rounds. Halve the cherry tomatoes and place all vegetables in their own compartment of the lunch box.
  • Add your choice of washed grapes or berries to another compartment for natural sweetness.
  • Add pretzels or crackers to another section of the lunch box for textural contrast.
  • If desired, include a small container of hummus for additional dipping or a small yogurt for extra protein and calcium.
  • Arrange all components in a compartmentalized lunch box, ensuring each food stays in its own section. Include an ice pack to keep perishable items fresh.
