Equipment

  • Large Glass Pitcher

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry white wine 750ml, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc recommended
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • 1 green apple cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Wash all fruits thoroughly. Slice the orange, lemon, and lime into thin rounds, removing any seeds. Core the apple and slice it thinly. Halve the fresh strawberries, keeping a few whole ones aside for garnish if desired.
  • In a large glass pitcher, pour in the bottle of chilled white wine. Add the triple sec and drizzle in the honey or agave nectar. Stir gently until the sweetener dissolves completely into the liquid.
  • Gently add all prepared fruit slices to the wine mixture. Tear the mint leaves slightly between your fingers before adding to release their aromatic oils.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (minimum 30 minutes if you're in a hurry), allowing the fruit flavors to meld with the wine.
  • Just before serving, add the sparkling water or club soda and stir gently. Pour over ice in glasses, ensuring each serving gets a colorful assortment of fruit. Garnish with additional fresh mint if desired.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the wine with white grape juice and replace the triple sec with orange juice.
Store without the sparkling water for up to 48 hours, adding it only upon serving for maximum effervescence.
For a lighter version, reduce the added sweetener by half and increase the sparkling water ratio.
