Equipment

  • Large Round Serving Platter (at least 16 inches)
  • Small Bowl
  • Cake Stand (optional)

Ingredients

For the Vegetable Wreath

  • 2 bunches broccoli florets about 4 cups
  • 1 large red bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper sliced into strips
  • 1 English cucumber sliced into rounds
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 cup radishes halved
  • 1 bunch fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • cranberries for decorative accents

For the Creamy Herb Dip (Optional)

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs dill, parsley, chives - finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Select a large round serving platter or board (at least 16 inches in diameter). Place a small bowl in the center—this will serve as your dip container and help guide the circular shape of your wreath.
  • Begin arranging broccoli florets in a circle around the center bowl, creating the base of your wreath. Place florets close together, with stems pointing inward and flowery parts facing outward for a lush appearance.
  • Start layering your remaining vegetables to create a colorful pattern. Alternate red bell pepper strips with yellow ones to create a festive "garland" effect. Place cherry tomatoes in small clusters like ornaments.
  • Use cucumber rounds, radishes, and snap peas to fill any visible gaps between the larger vegetables. Creating layers and depth will make your crudité platter more visually interesting.
  • Tuck small sprigs of fresh rosemary throughout the wreath to mimic pine needles. Add small clusters of cranberries to create "berry" accents that enhance the holiday theme.
  • If including dip, mix all dip ingredients in a bowl until smooth and well combined. Transfer to your center bowl. The creamy white dip creates a beautiful snow-like contrast against the vibrant vegetables.

Notes

- You can customize this platter with seasonal vegetables and adapt it for various dietary needs.
- For blanched broccoli with more vibrant color, blanch florets for 60 seconds in boiling water followed by an ice bath.
- For an extra-festive touch, add a small bow made from a strip of red bell pepper at the "bottom" of the wreath.
- The platter can be prepared up to 4 hours in advance (covered with slightly damp paper towels).
- For events lasting over 3 hours, consider creating two smaller wreaths and putting out the second one halfway through.
