- 1 bottle dry white wine 750ml, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc recommended
- 2 cups fresh raspberries plus extra for garnish
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice approximately 6-8 lemons
- 1/2 cup honey or agave nectar adjust to taste
- 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
- 2 lemons thinly sliced
- 2 cups sparkling water
- ice cubes
- fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Gently wash 2 cups of fresh raspberries and pat them dry. Set aside a few for garnish, then place the remaining berries in a large pitcher. Using a wooden spoon, lightly muddle the raspberries to release their vibrant juice and flavor—but don't overdo it!
Squeeze the lemons to obtain 1 cup of fresh juice (straining out seeds), then pour it into the pitcher with the muddled raspberries. Add your chosen sweetener and stir gently until it dissolves completely.
Pour in the entire bottle of chilled white wine and the triple sec. Stir the mixture gently to combine all flavors.
Thinly slice two lemons and add them to the pitcher.
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours—though 4-6 hours will develop a more integrated flavor profile.
Just before serving, add the sparkling water and gently stir. Serve in wine glasses over ice, ensuring each glass gets some of the fruit. Garnish with fresh raspberries and a sprig of mint.
Substitution Options:
- Replace white wine with rosé for a deeper pink color
- Frozen raspberries work well when fresh aren't available
- Substitute honey with simple syrup or maple syrup
- For a non-alcoholic version, use white grape juice instead of wine and orange juice instead of triple sec
Storage Tips: Pre-mix everything except the sparkling water and store covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before serving. If you have leftovers, they can be stored without the ice for up to 2 days. Add fresh sparkling water when serving leftover sangria.
