Base Ingredients
- 1 bottle white wine 750ml, Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc recommended
- 1/4 cup peach schnapps
- 1/4 cup honey or agave nectar adjust to taste
- 1 cup sparkling water
Fruits
- 2 peaches ripe, sliced
- 1 cup strawberries fresh, hulled and sliced
- 1 lemon thinly sliced
Wash all fruit thoroughly. Slice peaches into thin wedges (about 1/2-inch thick). Cut strawberries into quarters or halves depending on size. Thinly slice the lemon, removing seeds as you go.
In a large glass pitcher, pour in the bottle of chilled white wine. Add the peach schnapps and stir gently.
Drizzle in honey or agave nectar and stir until completely dissolved.
Add all prepared fruit to the pitcher, gently pushing down to ensure it's submerged in the liquid. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, though 4-6 hours will develop a richer flavor profile.
Just before serving, add the sparkling water and gently stir.
Pour over ice-filled glasses, ensuring each serving gets a generous portion of the infused fruit.
For a spectacular presentation, freeze thin peach slices or small whole strawberries in ice cubes to add to each serving.
If preparing ahead for a party, mix everything except the sparkling water and ice up to 48 hours in advance. Add the sparkling water just before guests arrive.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace wine with white grape juice and omit the schnapps.
