Equipment

  • Large Glass Pitcher
  • Wooden Spoon

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 bottle dry rosé wine 750 ml, fruit-forward variety
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur optional, for extra depth
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup adjust to taste

Fruits and Garnish

  • 2 cups watermelon fresh, cubed (about ¼ medium watermelon)
  • 1 cup strawberries fresh, hulled and sliced
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • sparkling water for serving
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Cut the watermelon into 1-inch cubes, removing any seeds. Hull and slice the strawberries, keeping pieces large enough to retain texture but small enough to release their juices.
  • In a large glass pitcher, combine the rosé wine, triple sec, lime juice, and honey. Stir gently until the honey is completely dissolved.
  • Add the cubed watermelon, sliced strawberries, and lime slices to the wine mixture. Gently press some of the fruit with a wooden spoon to release flavors—but don't crush completely.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, though 4 hours will yield optimal flavor infusion.
  • When ready to serve, fill glasses halfway with ice. Pour the sangria, including fruit pieces, into each glass. Top with a splash of sparkling water for effervescence. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For a lower sugar option, skip the honey and rely solely on the natural sweetness of ripe fruit.
For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the rosé wine with white grape juice and pomegranate juice (3:1 ratio), adding a tablespoon of white wine vinegar for complexity.
Sangria can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance, though the optimal flavor window is between 4-12 hours of infusion.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
