Wine & Spirits
- 1 bottle Moscato wine 750ml, chilled (pink or white)
- 1/4 cup brandy or triple sec optional
- 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda chilled
Fruits & Sweeteners
- 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
- 1 orange thinly sliced
- 1 lemon thinly sliced
- 1 lime thinly sliced
- 1 peach or nectarine pitted and sliced
- 1/4 cup simple syrup adjust to taste
For Serving
- ice cubes
- fresh mint leaves for garnish
Wash all fruits thoroughly under cold water. Slice the strawberries, orange, lemon, lime, and peach into thin, attractive pieces.
Pour the chilled Moscato wine into a large glass pitcher. Add the brandy or triple sec if using, and the simple syrup. Stir gently to combine.
Gently add all the prepared fruit slices to the wine mixture. Press them down lightly with a wooden spoon to ensure they're submerged.
Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight to allow flavors to meld and develop.
Just before serving, add the club soda or lemon-lime soda and stir gently to incorporate.
Pour into ice-filled glasses, making sure each glass gets a good portion of the soaked fruit. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
For a less alcoholic version, replace the brandy with orange juice.
Store your sangria in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in a tightly sealed container.
You can use frozen fruits instead of fresh - they'll help chill the sangria without diluting it.
