Equipment

  • Large Glass Pitcher

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 bottle white wine Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc recommended, 750ml
  • 1/4 cup white rum
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
  • 1 cup sparkling water

Fruits

  • 2 mangoes ripe, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks fresh
  • 1 passion fruit seeds and pulp removed
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 1 orange sliced

For Serving

  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Wash all fruits thoroughly. Peel and dice mangoes into 1/2-inch cubes. Cut pineapple into bite-sized chunks. Slice lime and orange into thin rounds. Cut passion fruit in half and scoop out seeds and pulp.
  • In a large glass pitcher, pour the chilled white wine and rum. Add honey or agave nectar and stir gently until sweetener dissolves completely.
  • Gently add all prepared fruits to the pitcher. Stir carefully to combine, ensuring all fruit pieces are submerged in the liquid.
  • Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, but ideally 3-4 hours to allow flavors to infuse.
  • Just before serving, add sparkling water and stir gently to maintain effervescence.
  • Pour sangria into ice-filled glasses, ensuring each serving contains a generous portion of the fruit. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, replace wine with white grape juice and rum with coconut water.
Can be refrigerated for up to 48 hours, though fruit will continue to soften.
Add sparkling water only just before serving to maintain carbonation.
For make-ahead convenience, prepare and freeze fruit chunks separately.
